On Saturday, February 13th, from 1-3pm, local park rangers will facilitate
an ice fishing event on Pickerel Lake. Park staff will drill the holes and
bring along all the equipment needed to catch the bluegills and other
little fish that live in the lake. Participants can also stop by learning
stations to discuss how fish survive the winter, how to be safe on the ice,
how to tie fishing knots, and where else they can go fishing on and near
the Mississippi year round.
